Title
De la lecture à la bibliophilie : Villeneuve Publications ou l’édition artisanale anglo-québécoise
Abstract
The author studies the impact of small-scale and specialized printing presses on the reading conditions of the poetry published by Villeneuve Publications, a small, Montreal-based private press active from 1976 to 1987. She offers an overview of the history of certain specialized presses, from their British origins to their ongoing presence in the French- and English-Canadian cultural landscape, and outlines the evolution and the publishing activities of Villeneuve publishers Robyn Sarah, an English Quebec poet, and Fred Louder, printer and typographer.
