A reprint of a series of letters between Edward George Stacey, an Ordnance Clerk in the Tower of London, and his son, daughter-in-law, and grand-daughter who lived in the Eastern Townships in the mid-nineteenth century. The letters from Canada describe life and pioneering conditions in the Townships.
