Organized research at the Royal Victoria Hospital began with the establishment of the McGill University Clinic in 1927, headed by Dr. Jonathan C. Meakins. Meakins was the Director of the University Medical Clinic until 1948. The author outlines the work of several other Royal Vic doctors and their pioneering medical research.
