Une village de villégiature dans les Cantons de l'Est : North Hatley
|
Abstract |
An historical background of this Eastern Townships village is given. The Township of Hatley, where the village is situated, was ceded to Henry Cull in 1803 and settled by American Loyalists. In the 1870s, when the Boston and Maine Railway passed through the village, the area became a popular summer destination for American tourists.
