Abstract |
The Lithuanian-born painter Sam Borenstein (1908-1969) immigrated to Montreal in 1921. During his forty-year career, Borenstein was best known for his cityscapes and rural scenes. He also produced numerous portraits and still lifes. His paintings were bustling with human activity, painted in brilliant colours and exuberant brushwork.
