Title
Academic Policy-Making in an Anglophone CEGEP: The Role of the Academic Council
Abstract
An examination and comparison of the Academic Council in the policy-making process of an Anglophone CEGEP with the Educational Council participatory model described in the Parent Report (1966). Studying the minutes of an Academic Council and Board of Governors of one CEGEP over a five year period, the author concludes that the Academic Council plays a limited role in the academic policy-making process. He also argues that the Academic Council does nor fulfil the ideals of the Educational Council.
