The Role of Language in the Determination of the Labour Earnings of Quebec Males in 1970
|
Abstract |
Includes an analysis of various indicators of the socio-economic status of Anglophones and Francophones in the Quebec labour market in 1970 . The author argues that some of these indicators give prima facie support to the inclusion of language skills (especially the ability to speak English) amongst the set of independent variables when estimating earnings equations in the Quebec labour market at that time.
