Abstract
An historical novel describing the turbulent events which took place within the Irish community of Saint-Sylvestre in Beauce County in 1855. The novel is based on the true story of the murder of Robert Corrigan, an Irish Catholic who turned Protestant, and describes the friction between the Protestant Orange Lodge and the Catholic Ribbonists.
