Title
Jewish Students in Canadian Universities: The Rise and Fall of a Quota System
Abstract
An examination of the quota systems in Canadian universities up to the 1960s that were placed on Jewish students wishing to pursue a higher education. Among the universities that had a Jewish quota, according to the author, were McGill University and Sir George Williams University (now part of Concordia university). The one Montreal university that apparently did not place a quota on Jewish students was the Université de Montréal.
