Abstract |
The author outlines the locations of the Orange Lodges in the Outaouais region, both past and present. The Orange Order originated as an Irish Protestant fraternal organization in the nineteenth century. Originally, the Orange Order was an anti-Irish Catholic movement that was imported to Quebec at the end of the eighteenth century.
