Abstract
The Montreal-born Frederick George Scott (1861-1944), the rector of St. Matthew's Anglican Church in Quebec City and military chaplain during the First World War, was known as the Poet of the Laurentians for his writings. Scott, who published thirteen books of Christian and patriotic poetry, is associated with Canada's Confederation Poets grouping.
