Abstract
A short biography of William Price (1789-1867), whose sons created the Quebec City- and Saguenay-based Price Brothers, a forest products firm. The British-born Price immigrated to Quebec City in 1810 and became a successful lumber merchant and manufacturer of planks (deals) in Lower Canada.
