Title
Visible Minority Neighbourhoods in Toronto, Montréal and Vancouver
Abstract
According to the 2001 census, the three largest visible minority groups in Montreal, in the decreasing order of their population size, were Blacks, Arabs and West Asians, and South Asians. The authors examine the expansion of visible minority neighbourhoods in Canada's three largest census metropolitan areas using census date from 1981 to 2001 to determine how visible minority neighbourhoods were formed.
