Abstract
Fourteen stories by various authors that follow each other according to the great waves of immigration that, according to the publisher, transformed the human fabric of Quebec, especially Montreal, from the mid-nineteenth century to the present day. The fourteen communities examined are: Scottish, Irish, Italian, Yiddish-speaking Jews, Polish, Sephardic Jews, Greek, Portuguese, Haitian, Latin American, Southeast Asian, Lebanese, Sub-Saharan and Maghrebi.
