Abstract
The story of the Visual Arts Centre’s origin as the Potters’ Club and its legacy and role in the development of arts and crafts in Montreal since its founding in 1946. The Potters’ Club was originally a women-run, ceramic-focused art collective founded by Eileen Reid. In 1971 the Potters’ Club was renamed The Visual Arts Centre.
