Abstract
The Australian-born Arthur Stanley Lamb (1886-1958) was the director of sports, athleticism, and physical education for more than thirty years at McGill University. He was known as the "father of modern physical education in Canada." He was a founder of the Canadian Physical Education Association and formed the Province of Quebec Amateur Track & Field Association.
