Abstract
An examination the origins and effect of the Maple Box Portfolio, manufactured by Montreal photographer William Notman for the Prince of Wales during his tour of Lower Canada and Upper Canada in 1860. The portfolio contained over three hundred stereographic views of the two colonies.
