Abstract
William Venner (1813-1890), a Quebec City banker, bought the mausoleum that had originally been built for Napoleon's son and his wife, the Archduchess Marie-Louise of Austria. The mausoleum was shipped to Quebec City in 1858 where it was placed in the Saint-Charles Cemetery.
