The Haycock Iron Mine
Abstract
The Haycock iron deposits, on the east side of the Gatineau River in Templeton, near Cantley, were discovered by George F. Austin, a land surveyor, in 1865. Edward Haycock bought the mineral rights to the area in 1872.
