Language Planning and Intergroup Relations: Anglophone and Francophone Attitudes Towards the Charter of the French Language
Abstract
A pre-1980 survey of 196 Anglophones and Francophones on attitudes towards Bill 101, the Charter of the French Language. The authors conclude that based on the Anglophone respondents' answers, which viewed Bill 101 as "extremely unjust", some sort of "collective action" on the part of the English-speaking community might be expected.
