The role of the contribution which the Presbyterian Church made to the moral and social lives of its mostly Scottish members in Quebec between 1875 and 1925. The author examines the changing trends in this population, from rural (the Eastern Townships) to urban (Montreal). The author discusses English-French relations in those areas where the two groups came into contact.
