Abstract |
St. Ann's Parish Church was located in Griffintown, at the corner of Basin and de la Montagne (Mountain) Streets. Designed by architect John Ostell and opened in 1854, St. Ann's was "the soul and inspiration" of Griffintown's Irish community. By the mid-twentieth century, the Irish began leaving Griffintown, and St. Ann's Church was torn down in 1970. Its foundations are still visable.
