Abstract
Methodist circuit riders from the Hull Mission established the first congregation at Symmes Landing (now Aylmer) in 1826 and the "Hull Chapel Building" was built during the summer of 1827. In 1858, a church building was constructed on the present site of Aylmer United Church. In 1925, the congregation joined the United Church of Canada.
