The Goode House: A Special Place
Abstract
Situated at 178 Côte St. Antoine Road, in Westmount, the two-storey Goode House is a stone building, one of four neighbouring villas erected in the early 1840s. Starting in 1884, three generations of the Goode family owned, lived in, and cared for the house and property, ending with the death of Lawrence Goode in 2019. The author outlines the architectural history of the Goode House.
