Les Livrets de spécimens typographiques de Lovell & Gibson, 1846 et 1847
Abstract
In 1846, the Montreal printing firm Lovell & Gibson published a booklet of typographical characters available at their firm titled Specimens of Printing Types and Ornaments in Use at the Printing Office of Lovell & Gibson, St. Nicolas Street, Montreal. The following year, a second version of this booklet was published titled Lovell & Gibson's Specimens of Printing Types. The author explains the place of these two booklets in the history of printing in Montreal.
