Abstract
Bulwer United Church, initially of Methodist denomination, was organised in 1866 in Cookshire-Eaton in the Eastern Townships. The Bulwer congregation was originally part of the Eaton Mission of the Wesleyan Methodist Church. In 1925, when the United Church of Canada was founded, amalgamating the Methodist, Presbyterian and Congregational Churches, the Methodist Church in Bulwer joined the Union and was renamed Bulwer United Church.
