Abstract
Novelist, short-story writer and story teller Clark Blaise (b. 1940) moved to Montreal in 1964. He taught at Sir George Williams University (now part of Concordia University), where he helped establish the Creative Writing Program. In the early 1970s he joined with authors Raymond Fraser, Hugh Hood, John Metcalf and Ray Smith to form the celebrated Montreal Story Tellers Fiction Performance Group. Blaise moved to the United States in 1980. In 2003 he published a book of short stories titled Montreal Stories.
