Biographies of 155 "forgotten" participants from the world of Quebec sports between 1850 and 1950. Includes biographies of athletes, sports journalists, academics and administrators, including: Ethel May Cartwright (1880-1955), professor of physical education at McGill University from 1907 to 1927; Myrtle Cook (1902-1985) track and field athlete and sports journalist; Kenneth Pentin Farmer (1912-2005), hockey player and Olympic sports administrator; and Louis Rubinstein (1861-1931), skater and cyclist. Over forty of the biographical entries are of Anglophones.
