Catalogue raisonné des objets historiques de la collection Grosse-Île
Abstract
A catalogue of archaeological objects found at the Grosse Île and the Irish Memorial National Historic Site, an island below Quebec City. Opened in 1832 as a quarantine station for the Port of Quebec, the site is the burial ground for thousands of Irish immigrants who, fleeing the Irish famine of 1847, died of typhus and are buried on the island.
