The Role of Language in the Determination of the Labour Earnings of Quebec Males in 1970
Abstract
An examination of the role that language skills played in the determination of the labour earnings of Quebec males in 1970. The author concludes that knowing English was a more highly rewarded skill in Quebec in 1970 than knowing French, and that the returns varied with the age but not with the education of Quebec males.
