Abstract
Liborio Lattoni arrived in Montreal in 1908 where he converted to Protestantism, taught English and French to the children of Italian immigrants, and converted some Italians in the city to the Protestant faith. He also helped the Protestant Italians financially with funds from the Methodist Church when poverty tempted them to change religions. Lattoni was also a poet and active in the city’s Italian community, especially in organizations supported by the Fascists between the two world wars.
