Abstract
The history of two roads, built in the early nineteenth century, which were to connect the American-dominated Eastern Townships with Quebec City and its markets, and to provide access routes for British immigrants to the Townships' area. The Craig Road was built 1806, connecting Quebec City to Richmond, and the Gosford Road was built in 1838.
