Abstract
The British-born Arthur Lismer (1885-1969), a member of the Group of Seven and later the Canadian Group of Painters, immigrated to Canada in 1911 and moved to Montreal in 1940. He taught at the Art Association of Montreal (now the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts) from 1940 until 1967, and ran the Montreal Children's Art Centre, affiliated with the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, from 1941 to 1967.
