Abstract
The author traces the development of Canadian architecture from the longhouse to the Bauhaus. Pages 185 to 192 of volume 1 focuses on the architecture of Lower Canada’s English-speaking minority. Many of the buildings built by anglophones during this period were in the Georgian Classicism style of architecture.
