| Abstract |
An analysis of the role and lifestyle of the approximately sixty companies of Royal Regiment of Artillery stationed in Quebec City from the Conquest to 1871. A comparison of the principal social groups within the regiment (officers, non-commissioned officers, and soldiers) is given, as well as the role of the artillerymen compared to other troops in the garrison.
