Title
Les Québécois dont la langue est flottante et la mobilité linguistique
Abstract
The author claims that the measurement of linguistic mobility in Quebec between French and English is subject to criticism, due not only to the way mother-tongue and home-language are stated by persons enumerated in census, but also to the method used by Statistics Canada to manage these census data. He analyzes some of these intriguing results and presents a minimal estimate of linguistic mobility. The author thinks that "linguistically floating individuals" should be put aside in the analyses.
