Abstract |
An examination of the integration of post-Second World War Jewish immigrants to Montreal, aided by the city's established Jewish community. Some fifty-six percent of all post-war Jewish immigrants to Canada settled in Montreal. The Jewish population of metropolitan Montreal increased from 67,000 in 1946 to 100,000 in 1958, making it the second largest Jewish community in the British Commonwealth (after London).
