Abstract
The author outlines the campaign begun by Quebec City's Literary and Historical Socitey, beginning in 1899, to save the Plains of Abraham from urban development. In 1901, the federal government bought the land as a commemorative park and historic site. It is now managed by the National Battlefields Commission.
