Abstract
On July 8, 1829, twelve members of Wellington Persevering Lodge, No. 7, (formed in 1815, closed in 1826) met to form a new Lodge in Montreal under the name "St. George's". A Dispensation was issued on July 17, 1826, and the officers of St. George's Lodge were invested on that same day. This was the first of three St. George's/St. George Masonic lodges in Montreal in the nineteenth century. This book celebrates the 125 anniversary of the first St. George's Lodge.
