Enjeux du démantèlement de la façade commerciale devant la St-James United Church
Abstract
Montreal's St. James United Church was built on St. Catherine Street between 1887 and 1889. In 1926, commercial buildings were erected "temporarily" in front of the church to provide the congregation with income. These buildings completely obscured the church from view on Ste. Catherine Street for almost eighty years. The commercial buildings were demolished in 2006.
