Abstract
The British-born George Slack (1810-1874) arrived in Canada in 1836 following a career in the British navy. He became a missionary for the Society for the Propagation of the Gospel in Foreign Parts, was ordained an Anglican priest in 1844, and served the church in Granby and Bedford.
