Abstract
The Montreal-born author, who self-identifies as "a Black, female African Canadian historian", explains her experience in history and her experience with historians, and her invisibility in the Canadian narrative which ignores Black history and the Black community, notwithstanding Black History month. The article was a speech she gave at a Quebec Federation of Home and School Associations conference in November 2016.
