Abstract
Lea Roback (1903-2000) speaks about her life and her family's early years as Jewish Polish immigrants in Quebec. She explains the social and economic conditions of working women in Quebec in the first half of the twentieth century, and her efforts on behalf of women`s rights and unions. Lea was born in Montreal, grew up in Beauport and, at the age of 14, returned with her family to Montreal.
