Title
The Effects of Demographic Characteristics on Consumer Information Periodical Readership and Financial Knowledge
Abstract
A telephone survey of French- and English-speaking households in Quebec was conducted, circa mid-1980s, to obtain information about money management practices, use information sources and knowledge of personal finance terminology. The authors conclude that in terms of financial knowledge, English-speaking consumers in Quebec may be at a disadvantage relative to French-speaking consumers with similar income levels.
