Revenus de travail et rendement des attributs linguistiques au Québec en 2005 et depuis 1970
Abstract
The authors examine economic returns resulting from language skills for men and women on the Quebec labour market for 2005 using 2006 Census data. They compare these results to those obtained over the 1970–2000 period. One of the main findings for 2005 is that bilingualism increases the labour income for all language groups. When they compared results over time, they found that the historical advantage (circa 1970) of Anglophones no longer exists in Quebec in 2005.
