Abstract
An analysis of the process of change in the development of organized lacrosse in Canada, from August 29, 1844, the date of the first recorded match between a White team and a First Nation team that took place in Montreal, to 1914 when the First World War coincided with the reduction in senior lacrosse activity in Canada.
