Abstract
An overview of the changes in Quebec in the area of education during the 1960s. Includes analysis of the impacts on English and French, Roman Catholic and Protestant schools and school boards during this period. Also includes accounts of teachers' strikes, the St. Leonard crisis, the language rights debate under the Bourassa Government, and Bill 27 (the reorganization of school boards off the island of Montreal) and Bill 28 (the reorganization of school boards on the island of Montreal).
