Abstract
Boswell's Brewery was an important business in Quebec City from its beginning in 1844 until its closure in 1968. The author deals with the brewery's workforce and examines the impact of technological change, transfer of ownership and evolving labour relations upon the status, attitudes, working conditions and work of the company's employees.
