Title
If Quebec Goes…The ‘Exodus’ Impact?
Abstract
An examination of the migration aspects of the 1995 Quebec referendum, based on data from a survey administered to non-Francophone Montrealers two week prior to the vote. The authors conclude that the referendum was not a paramount factor in explaining Anglophone out migration from Quebec. They point out the decision to move was influenced by the interplay of a multitude of factors. The political influence was only an added factor to longstanding economic decline and cultural clash.
