To Be (Or Not To Be) Continued : Closure and Consolation in Gallant's 'Linnett Muir Sequence'
Abstract
The author analyzes Mavis Gallant's 'Linnet Muir' sequence of stories in Gallant's novel Home Truths (1981), noting that they are an anomaly in many ways. Based on the stories' settings, they have been labelled "The Montreal stories." They are also described as Gallant's most autobiographical work.
